The Good Soldier Svejk - Bohdan Bocianowski
This one is actually a book cover, for one of my favorite books. It’s a war satire written by the Czech Jaroslav Hasek. It is both hilarious and truly wise, it made my bellyache from laughing. I highly recommend this book!

Nashville (1975) by Jan Mlodozeniec
This poster was made by a pioneer of the Polish Poster School of Art, Jan Mlodozeniec, who I am proud to call my grandfather. These unique posters came about in Poland (than under Soviet rule) during the Cold War, when Hollywood films shown in Poland were not allowed to be advertised using US posters.  Instead, Polish artists were commissioned to make their own version for Polish audiences, often without ever seeing the movie.
I’m hoping to spread some awareness of this cool and funky time period in Poland and all the cool art that came from it. I’ve made a T shirt out of this poster which you can get HERE
